Despite many books focused on helping people overcome depression, few provide daily strategies to use in the moment when the going gets tough. Depression can dampen joy and make life more difficult—even when it isn't at crisis level. Psychologist and depression expert Christopher R. Martell shares a wealth of tips and go-to strategies for getting through hard days and reengaging with the world in this user-friendly book. Short, clearly formatted chapters offer a menu of motivating, evidence-based techniques that readers can try out whenever they need, plus vivid stories and downloadable practical tools. From getting out of bed to dealing with a difficult family member to achieving professional goals, Dr. Martell shows how to solve everyday problems and live well with depression, one doable step at a time.

This title is part of The Guilford Living Well Series.
